Screening Eagle unveils Eagle XR: see inside concrete, from your phone
Sep 16, 2026
Pocket-sized concrete scanner. Sees two to three times deeper than conventional handheld detectors. Shows an image — not a beep or elementary signal curves. It starts from CHF 3,950. Volume deals upon request.
Singapore, 17 September 2026 — The world is built on concrete — above it, below it, and inside it. Data centers, hospitals, airports, bridges, homes: the power, water and data that keep them alive run through slabs and walls no one can see into.
Today, Screening Eagle Technologies makes the invisible visible to anyone who works in concrete. The new Eagle XR uses EM-wave imaging to see inside concrete. It fits in one pocket and pairs with the phone in the other — and it starts from CHF 3,950. Volume deals upon request.
Eagle XR sees through slabs and walls that stop conventional handheld detectors, and shows an image, not a beep or elementary signal curves: rebar, tendons, conduits and pipes, each with its depth. One hand, one sweep across a wall, ceiling or floor, and a live picture builds on the phone. A hidden tendon or a live conduit is no longer a surprise.
The design principle is radical in its simplicity: the sensor senses, and Eagle Intelligence on the phone does the imaging, getting better with every software update. That is why Eagle XR is one-third the size of conventional scanners, needs no wheels, and reaches the corners and edges they never could. It connects seamlessly with native, secure apps, starting on HarmonyOS, iOS, and Android. And — a first for the industry — Eagle XR comes in a range of colors and a unibody aluminum design.
Eagle XR complements the range of the world leader in concrete assessment solutions: Profometer for precision cover, Proceq GPR for deep structural investigation, and now Eagle XR for the quick look in between. It is built for engineers, owners and operations teams, and for anyone who works in concrete every day. And when Eagle XR shows something unusual, the full Screening Eagle concrete solutions suite, in the hands of professional service providers, is one step away.
“For decades, seeing inside concrete meant specialist equipment and specialist training,” said Koichi Oba, CEO of Proceq. “Eagle XR changes who gets to see: it fits in a pocket and shows an image anyone can read — without giving up the depth professionals rely on. That is how a category leader raises the bar: by opening the category to more people.”
“Eagle XR is built on a simple idea — let the sensor sense, and let software do the seeing,” said Craig Rice, CEO of Dreamlab. “Eagle Intelligence turns raw sensor data into a live image on your phone. And because the intelligence lives in the app, the Eagle XR you buy today will see better tomorrow.”
AVAILABILITY
Eagle XR makes its global debut today, with a staged rollout beginning in China as the first country to launch this exciting product on 18 September 2026. Availability across the rest of Asia, EMEA and the Americas will follow in phases, with market dates to be announced. Reaching up to 40 cm (16 in) penetration depth, Eagle XR sets a new benchmark for handheld imaging. Starting now, customers worldwide can pre-book and be among the first to get their hands on it as it arrives in their region. Pricing starts at CHF 3,950. Concrete has kept its secrets for a century. Now everyone can see inside.
