Proceq Opens New GPR Excellence Training Centre in Málaga, Spain

MÁLAGA, Spain – Proceq opened its new GPR Excellence Centre in Málaga, Spain on March 24, 2026. This facility will serve as the global heart for Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) education, training, catering to the entire spectrum of GPR applications, from large-scale utility mapping to high-resolution concrete scanning.

The centre is a dedicated place for GPR training, knowledge, and collaboration, designed to bring together experts, advanced technology, and real-world experience across various sectors including construction, civil engineering, subsurface utilities, transportation, archaeological investigations, and many more.

This is part of Proceq’s new Global GPR Training Program, delivering specialized Ground Penetrating Radar education with our global expertise team to conduct training. The program is designed to connect experienced GPR professionals worldwide to provide structured, high-level training focused on practical skills and real-world application, all with one clear objective: to help you maximize the value, performance, and return on your GPR investment. 

Comprehensive Training 

The new GPR Excellence Training Centre in Malaga is built to experience the full Proceq GPR ecosystem including:

  • Underground surveying: Mastering different disciplines from utility detection using the GS8000 to large-scale MCGPR mapping and full-resolution imaging with GS9000 and GM8000. 
  • Concrete & Structural Scanning: Specialized training for Proceq’s iconic handheld GPRs (GP8800, GP8000 and GP8100 models). These are essential for hit prevention, locating rebar, PT tendons (cables), and live wires before cutting or coring. 
  • Advanced Data Analysis: Moving beyond the raw data and basic processing to advanced imaging techniques, detailed 3D models and condition maps using GPR Insights and GPR-Slice software. 

A Masterclass with Industry Legends

The grand opening featured a two-day GPR Insights Masterclass, bringing together some of the most respected names in the field to share post-processing secrets and technical trainings: 

  • Dean Goodman: Geophysicist, developer and mastermind behind the industry’s original GPR-SLICE software. 
  • Tom Grant: Managing Director & GPR Training and Education Specialist, SMT UK.
