What is the difference between FMC and TFM?

FMC is UT data collection and TFM is data processing, this means that Full Matrix Capture is a data acquisition process where each array element is sequentially used as a single emitter and all the array elements are used as a receiver. This process creates a matrix of A scan data.

TFM – Total Focusing Method – is a technique of using the data from Full Matrix Capture to produce an image that is focused at every specified point in the image. TFM is implemented by applying an algorithm to the full data set collected by FMC.
