What is Carboteq?
Carboteq® is a device, which allows high precision wear indication of carbon-ceramic brake discs. Carboteq® is the world’s first and only handheld device for carbon-ceramic brake wear indication. Carboteq’s technology is based on high precision pulse-induction and on sophisticated measurement algorithms. It uses a special arrangement of inductive coils to measure the interlacing of the carbon fibers and the effects of heat and oxidation on conductance. The advanced signal analysis compensates for unwanted effects such as those arising from diverse brake disc geometries. Carboteq makes brake disc inspection easy, intuitive, and effortless.
