Scan concrete with confidence and battery life to last the entire day on a single charge

SafeCore Systems, a leading provider of concrete scanning services, recently put the Proceq GP8800 Ground Penetrating Radar (GPR) and its new Li-ion battery to the ultimate test. Zachary Goodspeed, Vice President of SafeCore Systems, utilized the GP8800 on three demanding jobsites in a single day, showcasing the GPR's efficiency, portability, and extended battery life.

Jobsite 1

9am - Pan Deck Scanning with GPR

Title

Zac began his day with pan deck scanning, a task where the GP8800's compact design and powerful software proved invaluable. He highlighted the cross-polarization as a key advantage, enabling him to effectively "ignore the mesh and see those centres of the pan deck nice crisp and clean." This ensures accurate and reliable data acquisition even in complex environments. More importantly, he noted, "And now with the Lithium-Ion battery, I can scan all day, no worries."

Jobsite 2

1pm - Marking Radiant Heat Lines

After the morning scanning at the first jobsite, Zac moved on to the next site marking radiant heat lines. He commended the new Li-ion battery, stating, "The new Li-ion battery is so robust, it’s killing the game right now. I’m able to scan multiple hours across multiple floors." This demonstrated the battery's exceptional endurance, enabling him to transition seamlessly between jobs without needing to recharge or swap batteries.

“I’m at a radiant heat job where I’ve been here for a couple hours and I’m getting ready to move onto job number 3 and I still have 3 bars (of battery) left!”

Jobsite 3

3pm - Warehouse Scanning

The final test for the GP8800 and new Li-ion battery involved a pre-drilling scan of the concrete floor before new equipment installation and anchor points could be done. For any warehouses that want to expand their stacking shelves or install new equipment, a quick scan with a GPR like the GP8800 could save a lot of time, costs and potential catastrophes.

Unlike other systems that require a constant connection to a larger antenna, all Proceq GPRs (even the compact GP8800) deliver genuine autonomy.

✔️ No need to carry around another bulky antenna

✔️ Scan freely with only one handheld sensor

✔️ Real-time data visualization on the iPad.

Just pop it in your backpack and you’re ready to go!

Enjoy true flexibility onsite, enhanced by up to 8 hours of battery life for the GP8800 with the new Li-ion battery. That truly is reliable energy for a full days work.
